What can Invisalign_® fix?

Crowded teeth

Crowded teeth is a condition where you do not have enough room for your teeth to fit normally. This can cause plaque or tartar and other harmful bacteria to build up as it is harder for you to brush and floss well.

Gaps between teeth

Gaps between teeth is when there is extra space between two or more of your teeth. This can cause pockets between your teeth and gums and can cause food to get stuck making them tender and sore. This might also lead to gum disease.

Open bite

An Open bite is when your upper and lower teeth don't touch when you close your mouth. An open bite can make it hard for you to chew or difficult to bite even the most common of food like apples.

Underbite

An underbite is when you close your mouth and your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth. In many cases, this is actually a problem with your lower jaw being too far forward. An underbite can make it hard to chew properly and speak clearly, and it might cause your teeth to wear down more quickly.

Overbite

An overbite is when your upper front teeth overlap with your lower front teeth. Most people have at least a little overbite. When your overbite is too large, your doctor might tell you you have a deep bite. This can cause problems, from your teeth wearing down to pain in your jaw.

Crossbite

A crossbite is when you close your mouth and yet some of your upper teeth are sitting inside your lower teeth rather than on the outside. A crossbite can make your teeth wear down or chip. It can also make your gums start to recede or make little notches above your gum line. This kind of damage can lead to painful gum problems or even bone loss.

1. How predictable are results with Invisalign® aligners? 

The ClinCheck software used during the planning stages of your Invisalign® journey predicts the gradual movements your teeth will go through at each stage. This information allows us to create a series of digital images showing just what your smile will look like once you complete treatment. This means you can begin the Invisalign® process, knowing the fantastic outcome that will be realised by the end.

2. Who is Invisalign® most suited to? 

If your teeth are severely misaligned, or your bite is significantly out of place, we may suggest fixed braces, which are generally more effective for complex orthodontic problems.

We also recommend fixed braces if you think you might struggle to be disciplined with remembering to wear your aligners for the 22 hours a day required.

3. How long does Invisalign® treatment take? 

The average treatment time with Invisalign® is 12 months. However, Invisalign® can correct minor alignment with your front teeth, which takes less time. Once we have performed a full clinical assessment, we can give you a precise timescale for your treatment.

Wow! What can I say, I’m over the moon with my smile makeover with Dr Nora. Iv been with Nora for a little while now and had a Damon brace to correct my wonky teeth, I always knew I wanted to finish off with cosmetic bonding just to polish off my smile 😃 and today was the day. Dr Nora is so passionate about what she does and you can tell! She’s very skilled and was so patient with me. The clinic is gorgeous! I really dislike going to the dentists and was super nervous when I first met Dr Nora for a consultation. From the initial consultation to now finally having a beautiful smile, I can truly say it has been an amazing experience and one of the best life decisions I have ever made. I have never been one to like going to the dentist, I’ve just never had good experiences with them. But Dr Nora and her staff absolutely changed my attitude about going to the dentist as a whole. **Best Composit Bonding In Leicester**I saw Dr Nora for a consultation for my teeth, I was not happy with some as my teeth as they were back and not straight. I had composite bonding done at the practice. I was very happy with my results and cannot stop smiling. The staff are so welcoming and professional and the practice smelt amazing.
