1. What is the process behind getting an implant? 

Getting an implant involves a surgical procedure performed under local anaesthetic. This is to place the implant into the jaw bone, which then triggers a healing process that will integrate the implant into your jaw bone. The advantage of this is that the body believes the implant to be a natural entity. Therefore, the jawbone is no longer at risk of shrinking away at the site where a tooth has been lost.

Not only does this protect your jawbone health, but it also prevents your face from suffering the aesthetic changes that can accompany tooth loss.

2. How long can my implant last for? 

With a foundation of good oral care and a healthy lifestyle, your implant has the potential to last forever. Implants behave in the same way as real teeth, so making sure they don’t suffer from gum disease and tooth decay is paramount.

3. Am I a suitable candidate for a dental implant? 

Having enough healthy bone in which to place the implant is a requirement prior to surgery. If we find you are not a suitable candidate for this reason, we can perform a procedure called a bone graft to stimulate the growth of healthy jaw bone, which will provide the foundation for your implant.

If you are a heavy smoker, we may recommend an alternative treatment, as smoking commonly inhibits the healing process, causing the implant to fail.

Wow! What can I say, I’m over the moon with my smile makeover with Dr Nora. I’ve always been conscious about my teeth and have wanted some treatment & advice asto how to look after them better & improve their appearance.Dr Nora was absolutely amazing. Dr Nora is so passionate about what she does and you can tell! She’s very skilled and was so patient with me. The clinic is gorgeous! I honestly cannot believe the transformation of my smile I’m so happy. I gave her a relatively tight time frame to sort out my teeth, after 7months of braces, whitening and composite bonding the result is better than I ever thought! I really dislike going to the dentists and was super nervous when I first met Dr Nora for a consultation. From the initial consultation to now finally having a beautiful smile, I can truly say it has been an amazing experience and one of the best life decisions I have ever made. I have never been one to like going to the dentist, I’ve just never had good experiences with them. But Dr Nora and her staff absolutely changed my attitude about going to the dentist as a whole. **Best Composit Bonding In Leicester**I saw Dr Nora for a consultation for my teeth, I was not happy with some as my teeth as they were back and not straight.
