Treatments such as a bone graft and a sinus lift can be performed to get you on track to having implant surgery later down the line.

We can perform these treatments here at the Beautiful Smiles dental practice. We are one of the few practices that do not refer bone grafts and sinus lifts out of practice.

Such procedures allow patients with insufficient healthy jaw bone to proceed with the implants process.

1. How do you confirm that I have low jaw bone density? 

Using state-of-the-art CBCT scanner technology, we can view a full 3D image of your jawbone. This gives us a comprehensive breakdown of how your jawbone sits in your mouth.

We also use this technology to identify exactly where to place the implants for the most reliable outcome.

2. What is a bone graft? 

A bone graft harnesses the use of your own bone from elsewhere in your mouth (or donor bone) in to encourage the growth of sufficient healthy bone to support dental implants. The majority of bone grafts are reabsorbed and replaced by your own natural bone at the site where the graft has been performed and takes several months to heal.

3. What is a sinus lift? 

If there isn’t enough height in the upper part of your jaw or your sinuses are too close to your jaw to allow for implant placement, a sinus lift can resolve this. The procedure lifts the sinus area to create space for the growth of new bone (post bone graft). You might not have sufficient height in your upper jaw if you have lost molars or premolars, bone has been lost as a result of periodontitis, or your sinus is too close to the upper jaw to accommodate implants.

Dr Nora is so passionate about what she does and you can tell! She’s very skilled and was so patient with me. The clinic is gorgeous! I honestly cannot believe the transformation of my smile I’m so happy. I really dislike going to the dentists and was super nervous when I first met Dr Nora for a consultation. From the initial consultation to now finally having a beautiful smile, I can truly say it has been an amazing experience and one of the best life decisions I have ever made. I have never been one to like going to the dentist, I’ve just never had good experiences with them. But Dr Nora and her staff absolutely changed my attitude about going to the dentist as a whole. **Best Composit Bonding In Leicester**I saw Dr Nora for a consultation for my teeth, I was not happy with some as my teeth as they were back and not straight.
